She became a target of bullying in the process. Tobin was not able to walk in her senior year because of bullies. She was a 2007 graduate of New York City's American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Tobin started her career on the stage in Houston in a Theatre Under the Stars production of the musical Cats. She played Etcetera in the cast of ensemble. Her next year was spent in Houston, where she appeared in the ensemble of Theater Under the Stars' production of West Side Story. In 2008 Tobin performed in the ensemble of Paper Mill Playhouse's production High School Musical on Stage! New Jersey. From 2008 to 2009 she starred in Oklahoma! Theater of the Stars Company in Atlanta. Tobin's Broadway debut was as Sherrie Christian, a swing in the musical Rock of Ages. In 2011, she toured the world with Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
